"Woof woof farm happened on
the spot and extremely instantly .
So at our opening day, Appy (cocker spaniel-Sahil’s dog) got extremely cheerful looking at Tyson(my boxer) . Appy is 4 year old and Tyson is 1 year old. It was one sided love at first for Appy.
Appy cries whenever he takes a bath. Imagine him in a swimming pool. Sahil took him to the pool and got him to socialise with other dogs.
Louie (akshita’s 2.5 years old Chihuahua) was the star attraction. He made quite a few friends like Tom (pug) and paddy (pug). Many other dog owners took him in the arms and played with him, and did tell us that “jab iske bachche ho toh hamme zaroor bata dena” and stuff like that.
Louie was extremely casual and didn’t bother much about the people and other dogs. He was having a blast on his own. Louie tried on many clothes at douge couture’s stall. He was happy to roam around in a pink skirt.
Niyati Vats came with her 2 labradors, golden and black, Z and roy. Z and roy , made full use of our area from the swimming pool, to the running area, to the balls, toys. They just had a blast and swam like pros. It was a treat for all of us to watch them swim.
Dogs were given bandaanas and bow ties from our side with woof woof written on it.
We all had a great time eating delicious south Indian food by Dosa inc food truck.
Its buttermilk was a hit.
All dogs were given a bandana “woof woof” written on it and a bow tie.
Our Dog cookies and cakes were delivered a bit late so could not cut it in front of all.
Zee reporters and cameramen covered our event and it has already been shown on national tv on their various channels many a times.
Few kids were seen playing badminton, we did cut a cake for ourselves as well which was relished by all. Nidhi from douge couture was happy .
Dog’s enjoyed their cookies, egg rice. We even played music like “who let the dogs out” amongst many others which kept the momentum going.
We would be having a dog owners food menu and dog food as well."
We three were sitting at Oberoi hotel coffee shop one evening (some time in july) talking about life
and future plans, and what can be done which is out of the box, where we three
could work together.
So while talking to Sahil
and Pulkit that evening we all came up with this idea that we should do
something for dogs, where people can socialise and so can the dogs.
The idea looked
exciting.
Since then, we started working at the farm which is owned by Pulkit. We started informing and making people aware of our concept and we were really motivated and pushed by people do definitely do this as there was nothing of this sort happening in this part of Delhi.
We made our facebook page, we decided our launch date as 11th September, we posted stuff regularly about our happenings.
“Ministry of pooches” was the name given to our launch event.
